• "NO" you don't have to. The hope is that you have helped out in what ever way you can.
  
  

Is this fund affiliated with any other?

• No it isn't. The goal is to allocate the amounts collected to help the children (ie: buy books, slate/chalk boards, pencils, etc) or donate it to groups or organizations such as UNICEF, World Vision, Save the Children, etc, in the intended country itself so that there will not be any administrative cost or a cut taken by anyone.
  
  

Is this a registered charity?

• Not yet. As per provincial legislation, they require a minimum of $25,000 to be collected before being able to file necessary documentation to gain charitable status.
  
  

Will I receive a tax receipt for the amount(s) contributed?

• Tax receipts will not be issued for the time being. Not until the fund is officially registered as a charitable organization, as indicated above.
  
  

How will I know if the money collected actually goes to the intended source?

• If you do not want to donate or are apprehensive, please do not donate any funds to this account until it can become a registered charity at some point in time. Hopefully you will find the attached links helpful.

How can I have proof that I did donate a sum of money?

• Your PayPal receipt will be your proof or the copy of the bank draft / deposit slip would also be proof. You will however not be able to hand this in for tax purposes.
  
  

Do you have anyone helping you with financial advice and legal advice in case this fund grows to a large sum?

• I do have professional advice in terms of finance and legal matters available to me through family and friends. My Financial adviser at RBC will also be very valuable in managing the funds if it was to grow substantially.
  
  

Is there any cost associated in holding a non-registered charity and/or having to pay via PayPal?

• The only minimal costs would be the very minimal fee PayPal might charge for transaction (usually this is less than and/or up to a few dollars). The taxes paid to the bank for the funds if and until a substantial amount is collected to become eligible for charitable status.
  
  

Who do I write Bank drafts to?

• At The moment, they have to be written to my name. Email me in order to obtain mailing instructions if you are unable to deposit the donations directly to the bank account.
  
  

Are any travel expenses by you a part of the funds collected?

• "No". Any and all costs of travel will be incurred by myself and at my own expense.
  
  

Can anyone help you with advancing this cause?

• CERTAINLY - anything to help the children in need. The more publicity this fund gets and the more funds we can collectively generate can only help the kids that will carry on an emotional scar for the rest of their lives and for many generations through their own offspring's. Just look at the effects of the survivors of wars, and genocides from our history.
  
  

Why isn't there an official URL for the site?

• Cost. Every Dollar saved is a dollar donated to a worthy cause. CJB.net directs large URL's to something manageable. The cost for the free service, are the occasional pop-ups you may encounter on the site.
  
  

Where did you get the images and icons for this site?

• Most of the images were from free sites. However, if anyone claims it to be their original work, please email me and I will give the credit to these individuals. Remember, this site is not for generating profit(s) for myself but for a worthy cause.
